Why?

I've got a 15k charity run coming up and i've literally got no time at all to get the necessary practice in.  Anyone who knows me well knows my plate is heavily full as it is and the only solution for me to prepare on a regular basis is to run to and from work.  I'm no expert runner but I figure every other day is about right - any experienced runners out there who know better please holla!  So what's the journey?  Firstly it's a mile from my home to the Railway Station.  Then, typically it's a standing journey with my fellow South West Trains commuters to Waterloo and then a run to Hoxton.  This is up, down and up again via Smithfield Market and Barbican over a distance of approx 3.14453 miles.  I don't have one of those fancy Nike + things yet so here's a google map with the full lowdown (btw if enough people buy them through the amazon links on the right i might be able to get one - hint ;))

I managed it to Old Street Roundabout today (which is pretty encouraging as a start) and on the way had an interesting selection of encounters with my fellow pavement dwellers - mainly of the 'can't you see i'm RUNNING - it's not only annoying but PAINFUL if you make me stop' variety.  I wondered if it would be worth putting some of my observations as blog posts - who knows, it might end up being entertaining.  If nothing else it will be a means of me documenting how much i'm running and serve as a motivational tool for me in my preparation for this event and any others I might end up doing after ;)
